New UserG-7 grade coal attracts very strong demand in May e-auction

June 25: A very strong demand was witnessed for G-7 grade (GCV ranging from 5,201 to 5,500 Kcal/kg) coal offered by two subsidiaries of CIL for allotment through the MSTC platform during May 2014 as the entire offered quantity of 28,500 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,504 per ton.
However, moderate demand was witnessed for G-7 grade coal offered by four subsidiaries of CIL for allotment through the MSTC platform during April 2014 as out of 75,000 tons offered, 51,940 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,694 per ton.
A similar moderate demand was witnessed in March for G-7 grade coal offered by two subsidiaries of CIL for allotment through the MSTC platform as out of 66,940 tons offered, 33,510 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,600 per ton.
