G-7 grade coal fails to attract bids at January e-auction

February 24: No demand was witnessed for G7 grade (GCV ranging from 5,201 to 5,500 Kcal/kg) coal offered by CCL for allotment through the MSTC platform during the month of January 2014 as 8,000 tons offered failed to attract at any bid at the e-auction.

However, there was good demand for G7 grade coal offered by CCL and NCL for allotment through the MSTC platform during the month of December 2013 as out of the 358,460 tons offered, 350,460 tons got allotted.

In November, however, there was moderate demand for G7 grade coal offered by CCL, ECL, SECL and WCL for allotment through the same platform as out of the 35,290 tons offered, 24,900 tons got allotted.
