G-9 grade coal sees strong demand in July e-auction

August 29: There was strong demand for G-9 grade (GCV 4,601 to 4,900 Kcal/kg) coal offered through the MSTC platform in July 2014 by CCL, as out of the 32,500 tons offered, 32,480 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 3,007 per ton.
However, there was average demand for G-9 grade coal offered through the MSTC platform in June 2014 by WCL and CCL, as out of the 200,270 tons offered, 171,750 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,801 per ton.
In May too, there was fair demand for this grade offered through this platform by WCL, as out of the 304,000 tons offered, 279,840 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,849 per ton.
