G11 grade coal sees very strong demand in June e-auction

July 7: Very strong demand was witnessed for G11 grade coal (GCV range 4,001 and 4,300 Kcal/kg) during June as the entire offered quantity of 3,00,000 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,169/ton.
Similar strong demand was witnessed for G11 grade coal during May as the entire offered quantity of 555,000 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 1,820/ton.
In April, demand seemed to be fair as out of 465,000 tons offered by two subsidiaries of CIL, 449,670 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 1,942/ton.
