Good demand was witnessed for G12 grade coal (GCV of 3,701-4,000 Kcal/kg) as out of 540,000 tons offered by SECL for sale through the e-auction platform of coaljunction in March 2016, 261,850 tons got allotted at an average weighted price of Rs 1,070, according to data available with ICMW.
On the other hand, strong demand was witnessed for G12 grade as out of 1,340,000 tons offered by SECL, MCL and CCL for sale through coaljunction in February 2016, 880,490 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 1,117.
However, there was nil demand for 75,000 tons of G12 grade coal (GCV of 3,701-4,000 Kcal/kg) offered by CCL for sale through coaljunction in January 2016.
