March 6: Very strong demand was witnessed for G13 (GCV between 3,400 and 3,700 Kcal/kg) grade coal offered in the e-auctions conducted on the coaljunction platform during February 2014 as the entire offered quantity of 677,000 tons got allotted during the month. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 1,080/ton.
During January 2014, out of the offered quantity of 1,260 tons, only 60 tons got allotted during the month. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 1,497/ton.
However, in December 2013, very strong demand was witnessed for G13 grade coal as the entire offered quantity of 280,000 tons got allotted during the month. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 1,567/ton.
