April 27: Fairly high demand was witnessed for G3 grade (GCV ranging from 6,401-6,700 Kcal/Kg) coal offered for allotment via MSTC’s e-auction platform in March 2015 as out of the entire offered quantity of 43,600 tons, 37,000 tons or 84.86% got allotted but at a reduced weighted average price of Rs 4,516 per ton.
In February, fairly high demand was witnessed for G3 grade on the same platform as out of the entire offered quantity of 30,600 tons, 28,570 tons got allotted but at a weighted average price of Rs 6,507 per ton.
A similar picture was witnessed for G3 grade offered during the month of January as out of the entire offered quantity of 25,220 tons, 24,320 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 5,495 per ton.
