April 27: Very high demand was noticed for G4 grade (GCV of 6,101-6,400 Kcal/kg) coal for allotment through the e-auction platform of MSTC in March 2015, as out of the entire offered quantity of 39,580 tons, 36,030 tons or around 91% got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 5,364 per ton.
Fair demand was noticed for this grade on MSTC in February, as out of the entire offered quantity of 183,410 tons, 138,976 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 5,681 per ton.
Strong demand was noticed for G4 in January, as out of the entire offered quantity of 77,850 tons, 77,830 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 5,338 per ton.
