December 7: Fair demand was witnessed for G5 grade coal (GCV range of 5,801 to 6,100 Kcal/kg) in the November 2015 spot e-auction on coaljunction as out the total quantity of 200,150 tons offered by South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) and Central Coalfields (CCL), 51,400 got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,913 per ton, according to data available with ICMW.
However, poor demand was witnessed for G5 grade coal in the October 2015 spot e-auction on coaljunction as out the total quantity of 441,650 tons offered by Eastern Coalfields and Northern Coalfields, 26,000 got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 3,609 per ton.
In September, low demand was witnessed for G5 grade as out the total quantity of 355,988 tons offered by WCL, SECL, CCL, BCCL and NCL only 84,310 got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 3,025 per ton.
