There was low demand for G5 grade (GCV 5,801 to 6,100 Kcal/kg) coal offered by the subsidiaries of Coal India Ltd (CIL) for allotment through the e-auction platform of MSTC in February 2016, as out of the entire offered quantity of 590,040 tons, merely 162,920 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 3,164 per ton, as per data available with ICMW.
Similar kind of low demand was witnessed for G5 grade coal offered by the subsidiaries of CIL for allotment through the e-auction platform of MSTC in January 2016, as out of the entire offered quantity of 775,320 tons, merely 196,500 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 3,203 per ton.
There was low demand for G5 grade offered by the subsidiaries of CIL for allotment through MSTC in December 2015, as out of the entire offered quantity of 552,150 tons, merely 131,540 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 3,371 per ton.
