New UserG5 grade sees low demand in March e-auction

Low demand was witnessed for G5 grade coal (GCV range of 5,801 to 6,100 Kcal/kg) in the March 2016 spot e-auction on coaljunction as out the total quantity of 144,200 tons offered by South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) and Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL) 42,400 got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 3,072 per ton, according to data available with ICMW.
Likewise, low demand was witnessed for G5 grade coal in the February 2016 spot e-auction on coaljunction as out the total quantity of 192,206 tons offered by Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), SECL, ECL and Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), 57,160 got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 3,006 per ton.
Similar kind of low demand was witnessed for G5 grade coal in the January 2016 spot e-auction on coaljunction as out the total quantity of 120,410 tons offered by Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) and ECL, 36,000 got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 3,603 per ton.
