New UserG6 grade coal sees excellent demand in July e-auction

August 5: There was excellent demand for G6 grade coal (GCV range 5,501-5,800 Kcal/kg) on the coaljunction e-auction platform in July 2014, as the entire offered quantity of 81,290 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 4,143/ton.
There was strong demand for this G6 grade of coal on the same e-auction platform in June, with as much as 99.87% of the offered quantity getting allotted. In June 2014, out of 75,250 tons offered, 75,150 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 3,712 per ton.
On the other hand, during May 2014, out of 156,220 tons of G6 coal offered, 145,000 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 3,491/ton.
