March 6: There was good demand for G6 grade coal (GCV range 5,501-5,800 Kcal/kg) on the coaljunction e-auction platform in February, with as much as 84.49% of the offered quantity getting allotted.
During February, out of 309,880 tons of G6 grade coal offered, 261,830 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,814/ton.
However, in January, out of 276,750 tons of G6 grade coal offered, 199,558 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,991/ton.
During December, out of 276,350 tons of G6 grade coal offered, 190,062 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,819/ton.
