November 6: There was good demand for G6 grade coal (GCV range 5,501-5,800 Kcal/kg) on the coaljunction e-auction platform in October, with as much as 89.05% of the offered quantity getting allotted.
During October 2013, out of 220,988 tons of G6 grade coal offered, 196,794 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 3,044/ton.
In September 2013, out of 117,730 tons of G6 grade coal offered, 109,042 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,620/ton.
However, in August 2013, out of 203,390 tons of G6 grade coal offered, 160,557 tons got allotted. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,920/ton.
