September 4: There was moderate demand for G6 grade coal (GCV range 5,501-5,800 Kcal/kg) at the coaljunction platform in August, with as much as 78.94% of the offered quantity getting allotted.
In August 2013, out of 203,390 tons of G6 grade coal offered, 160,557 tons got allotted. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,920 per ton.
However, in July 2013, out of 206,768 tons of G6 grade coal offered, 179,584 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,905 per ton
