January 3: There was moderate demand for G6 grade coal (GCV range 5,501-5,800 Kcal/kg) on the coaljunction e-auction platform in December, with as much as 68.77% of the offered quantity getting allotted.
During the month, out of 276,350 tons of G6 grade coal offered, 190,062 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,819/ton.
However, during November 2013, out of 210,088 tons of G6 grade coal offered, 139,228 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,893/ton.
In October 2013, out of 220,988 tons of G6 grade coal offered, 196,794 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 3,044/ton.
