February 6: There was moderate demand for G6 grade coal (GCV range 5,501-5,800 Kcal/kg) on the coaljunction e-auction platform in January, with as much as 72.11% of the offered quantity getting allotted.
During January, out of 276,750 tons of G6 grade coal offered, 199,558 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,991/ton.
However, in December, out of 276,350 tons of G6 grade coal offered, 190,062 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,819/ton.
During November 2013, out of 210,088 tons offered, 139,228 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity stood at Rs 2,893/ton.
