New UserG6 grade coal sees moderate demand in May e-auction

June 4: There was fair amount of demand for G-6 grade coal (GCV range 5,501-5,800 Kcal/kg) on the coaljunction e-auction platform in May, with as much as 99.82% of the offered quantity getting allotted.
During May 2014, out of 156,220 tons of G-6 grade coal offered, 145,000 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 3,491/ton.
In comparison to May, even stronger demand was witnessed in April as out of 140,400 tons of G-6 grade coal offered, 140,150 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 3,306/ton.
In March, however, out of 291,110 tons of G6 grade coal offered, 213,120 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 3,023/ton.
