December 4: There was moderate demand for G6 grade coal (GCV range 5,501-5,800 Kcal/kg) on the coaljunction e-auction platform in November, with as much as 66.27% of the offered quantity getting allotted.
During November 2013, out of 210,088 tons of G6 grade coal offered, 139,228 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,893/ton.
However, in October 2013, out of 220,988 tons of G6 grade coal offered, 196,794 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 3,044/ton.
In September 2013, out of 117,730 tons of G6 grade coal offered, 109,042 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,620/ton.
