New UserG6 grade coal sees strong demand in June e-auction

July 7: There was a strong demand for G6 grade coal (GCV range 5,501-5,800 Kcal/kg) on the coaljunction e-auction platform in June, with as much as 99.87% of the offered quantity getting allotted.
In June 2014, out of 75,250 tons of the G6 grade offered, 75,150 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 3,712 per ton.
On the other hand, during May 2014, out of 156,220 tons of G6 coal offered, 145,000 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 3,491/ton.
In comparison to May, a stronger demand was witnessed in April as out of 140,400 tons of G6 grade offered, 140,150 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 3,306/ton.
