February 4: Very strong demand was witnessed for G6 grade coal (GCV range 5,501-5,800 Kcal/kg) offered by CIL’s subsidiaries on coaljunction’s e-auction platform in January 2014, as the entire offered quantity of 134,940 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 3,445/ton.
In fact, similar strong demand was also witnessed for this grade in December 2014, as the entire offered quantity of 94,700 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 3,766/ton.
High demand was witnessed for G6 grade in November 2014 as well, as out of the offered quantity of 107,570 tons, 107,530 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 4,315/ton.
