September 3: G8 grade coal (GCV range 4,900-5,200 Kcal/kg) offered by two subsidiaries of CIL met with good demand during August 2014. The quantity offered during the month stood at 45,000 tons while the total allotted quantity stood at 41,090 tons. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,184/ton.
However, G8 grade coal offered by four subsidiaries of CIL met with excellent demand during July 2014 as 98.86% of the total offered quantity got allotted. The quantity offered during the month stood at 182,880 tons while the total allotted quantity stood at 180,800 tons. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,935/ton.
In June, this grade offered by two subsidiaries of CIL met with moderate demand as only 40.26% of the total offered quantity got allotted. The quantity offered during this month was at 38,400 tons against the total allotted quantity of 15,460 tons while the weighted average price was at Rs 2,735/ton.
