November 6: G8 grade coal (GCV range 4,900-5,200 Kcal/kg) offered by four subsidiaries of CIL met with moderate demand during October 2013 as 61.29% of the total offered quantity of 194,400 tons got allotted. The total allotted quantity stood at 119,140 tons whereas the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,297/ton.
On the other hand, in September, coal offered by four subsidiaries of CIL met with moderate demand as 58.27% of the total offered quantity of 157,380 tons got allotted. The total allotted quantity stood at 91,710 tons whereas the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,138/ton.
However, in August, coal offered on the coaljunction platform by three subsidiaries of CIL met with poor demand as 16.28% of the total offered quantity of 160,600 tons got allotted. The total allotted quantity stood at 26,150 tons. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2616/ton.
