New UserG9 grade coal sees low demand in January e-auction

Poor demand was witnessed for G9 grade (GCV 4,601 to 4,900 Kcal/kg) coal offered by CIL subsidiaries through MSTC in January 2016 as out of this entire offered quantity of 716,150 tons, 24,480 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 1,948 per ton, as per data available with ICMW.
However, low demand was witnessed for G9 grade coal offered by CIL subsidiaries through MSTC in December 2015 as out of this entire offered quantity of 690,950 tons, 156,380 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 1,878 per ton.
Likewise, fair demand was witnessed for the G9 grade coal offered by CIL subsidiaries through MSTC in November 2015 as out of this entire offered quantity of 228,950 tons, 81,470 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,064 per ton.
