GMDC’s January lignite production edges up 7.46%

Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation (GMDC) has achieved total lignite production of around 0.72 million tons (mt) in January 2016, up 7.46% compared to 0.67 mt produced in December 2015, according to data available with ICMW.
Of the total, the Panandhro mine produced the highest volume of 0.28 mt followed by Mata-No-Madh at 0.19 mt. The production at Imarsar stood at 0.11 mt while two other mines produced about 0.16 mt.
In December, the production from Panandhro mine in Kutch stood at 0.3 mt, followed by Umarsar at 0.13 mt. Three other mines had produced about 0.24 mt.
There was no production from Rajpardi (G-19 Extn) in Bharuch in January 2016 as well as in December 2015.
