GMDC’s lignite production at 0.67 mt in Dec 2015

Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation (GMDC) has achieved total lignite production of around 0.67 million tons (mt) from its six lignite mines in the month of December 2015, according to data available with ICMW.

Of the total, Panandhro mine in Kutchh produced the highest volume of 0.3 mt, followed by Umarsar at 0.13 mt. Three other mines produced about 0.22 mt.

There was no production from Rajpardi (G-19 Extn.) in Bharuch.
