Imports of pet coke via Gangavaram Port stood at 102,405 tons in January 2016, sharply up 138.15% month-on-month compared to 43,000 tons imported in December 2015, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
For the first ten months (April-January) of the current fiscal (2015-16), pet coke imports via Gangavaram Port stood at 443,266 tons against 8,81,498 tons imported in the same period of the previous fiscal (2014-15).

In January 2016, a volume of 21,950 tons came in from China at a price of Rs 17,262 ($256) per ton and 80,455 tons from the US at a price range of Rs 3,938-Rs 4,329 ($59-$64) per ton.
In December 2015, a volume of 23,000 tons came in from China at a price range of Rs 17,872-Rs 17,891 ($266-$266) per ton and 20,000 tons from the US at a price range of Rs 4,313-Rs 4,316 ($64-$64) per ton.
