Imports of coking coal via Gangavaram Port stood at 510,667 tons in December 2015, up 44.67% month-on-month compared 352,978 tons imported in November, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
For the first nine months (April-November) of the current fiscal (2015-16), coking coal imports via the port stood at 4,301,854 tons while 3,892,234 tons had been imported in the same period of the previous fiscal (2014-15).

In December 2015, the entire volume of 510,667 tons came in from Australia at a price range of Rs 5,227-Rs 6,693 ($78-$100) per ton.
In November 2015, the entire volume of 352,978 tons came in from Australia at a price range of Rs 5,157-Rs 6,203 ($78-$94) per ton.
