November 12: Imports of non-coking coal (steam coal) via Gangavaram Port stood at 365,169 tons in October 2015, down 30.67% compared to 526,698 tons imported in September 2015, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
For the first seven months (April-October) of the current fiscal (2015-16), non-coking coal imports via Gangavaram Port stood at 4,064,917 tons against 3,747,285 tons in the same period of the previous fiscal (2014-15).

During October 2015, the entire volume of 365,169 tons came from South Africa at a price range of Rs 2,658-Rs 4,713 ($41-$71) per ton.
In September 2015, a volume of 161,000 tons came from Indonesia at a price range of Rs 2,675-Rs 2,718 ($40-$41) per ton and a volume of 365,698 tons from South Africa at a price range of Rs 3,234-Rs 4,622 ($48-$70) per ton.
