Gansu Jan-Jul coal output down 4.06% on y-o-y

Northwest China’s Gansu province produced a total 23.65 million tonnes of raw coal over January-July this year, down 4.06% from a year ago, showed data released by the Gansu Administration of Coal Mine Safety on August 20.
During the same period, the large state-owned coal mines produced 21.8 million tonnes of raw coal, up 0.6% year on year, the data showed.
The output from small local mines slumped 36.86% from a year ago to 1.84 million tonnes from January to July.
In July, the raw coal output at Gansu was estimated by the administration at 3.59 million tonnes, lower than 3.79 million tonnes with a year-on year decline of 4.45% reported by the Gansu Bureau of Statistics.
