Glencore to shed 75 workers at Gulgong coal mine
28 Apr 2015
Glencore has now announced 75 workers will be made redundant from the western New South Wales mine.
The company says the miners will be retrenched in early June.
Glencore has decided to shed jobs despite declaring earlier this year the company's budget remained strong and flexible.
The job cuts are part of the company's bid to reduce costs at a time when there is a dip in the global demand for coal.
