April 23: Good demand was witnessed in March 2014 for G-10 grade (GCV 4,301 to 4,600 Kcal/kg) coal offered by CCL and MCL for allotment through the MSTC platform as 49,980 tons got allotted out of an offered quantity of 56,250 tons at a weighted average price of Rs 1,620 per ton.
However, moderate demand was witnessed in February 2014 for G-10 grade coal offered by CCL and NCL for allotment through the MSTC platform as only 261,608 tons got allotted out of an offered quantity of 327,178 tons at a weighted average price of Rs 2,023 per ton.
On the other hand, poor demand was witnessed in January 2014 for G-10 grade coal offered by MCL for allotment through the MSTC platform as only 15,250 tons got allotted out of an offered quantity of 115,000 tons at a weighted average price of Rs 2,412 per ton.
