October 21: There was good demand for G7 grade (GCV ranging from 5,201 to 5,500 Kcal/kg) coal offered by CCL, NCL, SECL and WCL for allotment through the MSTC platform during the month of September 2013 as out of the 138,080 tons offered, 135,280 tons got allotted.
In August, too, there was good demand for this grade of coal from CCL, NCL, WCL and SECL as out a total of 41,750 tons offered, 32,340 tons got allotted.
The weighted average price for this grade of coal in September 2013 was at Rs 2,802.32 against Rs 2,552.66 in August.
