January 27: There was good demand for G8 grade (GCV 4,901 to 5,200 Kcal/kg) coal offered on the MSTC platform by three subsidiaries of CIL in December 2013 as 61,390 tons were offered from which 60,580 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,651 per ton.
However, in November, there was moderate demand for G8 grade coal offered on the MSTC platform by two subsidiaries of CIL in November 2013 as 19,500 tons were offered from which 10,370 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,472 per ton.
