November 6: Good demand was witnessed for G11 grade coal (GCV range 4,001 and 4,300 Kcal/kg) during October as out of 690,138 tons of coal offered by three subsidiaries of CIL, 608,252 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 1,732/ton.
In September, out of 557,880 tons of coal offered by four subsidiaries of CIL, 511,152 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 1,345/ton.
However, demand during August was also good as 95.72% or 870,990 tons got allotted out of the 909,930 tons offered. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 1727/ton.
