January 3: There was a good demand for G3 grade coal (GCV ranging between 6,400 Kcal/kg and 6,700 Kcal/kg) on the e-auction platform of coaljunction in December as 82.29% of the offered quantity got allotted. Out of a total quantity of 52,240 tons offered, 42,990 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 4,112/ton.
In November, there was good demand for G3 grade coal on the e-auction platform of coaljunction as 91.46% of the offered quantity got allotted. Out of a total quantity of 117,042 tons that was offered, 107,042 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 4,434/ton.
However, there was moderate demand for G3 grade coal at the e-auction platform of coaljunction in October. Out of a total quantity of 87,388 tons that was offered, 78,438 tons got allotted at a premium of 0-31%. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 4,148/ton.
