September 4: There was good demand for G5 grade coal (GCV range 5,800 to 6,100 Kcal/kg) at the e-auction platform of coaljunction in August, as 76.97% of the total offered quantity got allotted.
During August 2013, out of a total of 314,936 tons of coal offered, as much as 242,414 tons got allotted during the month. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 3,149 per ton
However, in July 2013, out of a total of 238,630 tons of coal offered, as much as 173,855 tons got allotted during the month and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 3,116 per ton
