Good demand was witnessed for G6 grade (GCV 5,501 to 5,800 Kcal/kg) coal offered for allotment by CIL in January 2016 via the e-auctions conducted on the MSTC platform as out of the entire offered quantity of 152,220 tons, 62,882 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 3,169 per ton, as per data available with ICMW.
However, very strong demand was witnessed for G6 grade coal offered for allotment by CIL in December 2015 via MSTC as out of the entire offered quantity of 67,570 tons, 51,970 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 3,096 per ton.
On the other hand, low demand was witnessed for G6 grade coal offered by CIL in November 2015 via MSTC as out of the entire offered quantity of 182,520 tons, 46,100 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 3,029 per ton.
