February 6: G8 grade coal (GCV range 4,900-5,200 Kcal/kg) offered by four subsidiaries of CIL met with good demand during January 2014 as 87.54% of the total offered quantity of 251,260 tons got allotted. The total allotted quantity stood at 219,944 tons whereas the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,518/ton.
However, during December 2013, 54.95% of the total offered quantity of 246,000 tons got allotted. The total allotted quantity stood at 135,180 tons whereas the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,184/ton.
In November, G8 grade coal offered by six subsidiaries of CIL met with moderate demand as 47.18% of the total offered quantity of 228,452 tons got allotted. The total allotted quantity stood at 107,792 tons whereas the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,242/ton.
