June 4: G8 grade coal (GCV range 4,900-5,200 Kcal/kg) offered by three subsidiaries of CIL met with good demand during May 2014 as 93.94% of the total offered quantity got allotted. Quantity offered during the month stood at 174,000 tons while the total allotted quantity stood at 163,450 tons in May whereas the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,460/ton.
However, during April 2014, quantity offered stood at 117,680 tons while the total allotted quantity stood at 89,159 tons. During the month, the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,691/ton.
During March 2014, out of an offered quantity of 207,000 tons, allotted quantity stood at 127,310 tons and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,334/ton.
