Gypsum July imports via Kolkata port rise 14.1% in Aug m-o-m

September 11: Imports of gypsum via Kolkata port rose a marginal 14.1% to 154 tons in August 2013 against 135 tons in July 2013, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

In August 2013, around 81 tons arrived from Iran at a unit price of Rs 5,641 ($91), around 4 tons arrived from Malaysia at a unit price of Rs 9,814 ($164), 50 tons came from Thailand for Rs 6,795 ($$103) per ton, 19 tons came from the US in a rage of Rs 15,958 – Rs 93,504 ($259-$1519) per ton

In July 2013, 84 tons arrived from Iran at Rs 5,805 ($98) per ton, 1.58 tons came from Malaysia at Rs 10,029 ($168) per ton and 50 tons arrived from Thailand at Rs 6,604 ($110) per ton.
