Gypsum import via Kandla port at 60,100 tons in May

June 26: Import of gypsum through Kandla port stood at 51,974 tons during the month of May 2014, down 13.38% from 60,000 tons imported during the month of April 2014, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

In May 2014, 2,050 tons came from Iran at a price of Rs 1,695 ($28) per tons while the rest of 49,924 tons came in from Oman at a price range of Rs 1,366-Rs 1,415 ($23-$24) per ton.

However, during the month, 40,100 tons came from Iran at a price range of Rs 1,228-Rs 1,246 ($20-$21) per ton while the rest of 20,000 tons came from UAE at a price of Rs 1,297 ($21) per ton.
