Gypsum imports via Cochin Port at 424 tons in Jan

February 13: Import of gypsum via Cochin Port stood at 424 tons during the month of January 2014, sharply down from 971 tons imported in December, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

During January 2014, 348 tons came from Iran at a price range of Rs 4,283-Rs 4,387 ($69-71) per ton while 76 tons came from UAE at a price of Rs 4,738 ($76) per ton.

However, during December 2013, the entire quantity came from Iran at a price range of Rs 3,389-Rs 4,331 ($54-$69) per ton.
