Gypsum imports via Cochin sharply up in Aug m-o-m

September 30: Imports of gypsum via Cochin Port stood at 968 tons during the month of August 2014, sharply up from only 12 tons imported during July, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

During August 2014, 833 tons came from Iran at a price range of Rs 4,185-Rs 4,929 ($68-$80) per ton while 135 tons came from the UAE at a price of Rs 5,112 ($83) per ton.

However, in July 2014, the entire quantity came from Germany at a price of Rs 256,166 ($4,220) per ton).
