Gypsum imports via Kandla Port fall 41.76% in June

July 21: Imports of gypsum through Kandla Port stood at 35,000 tons during June 2014, down 41.76% from 60,100 tons imported during May 2014, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

In June 2014, 25,000 tons came in from Iran at a price of Rs 1,296 ($22) per ton while the balance 10,000 tons arrived from the UAE at Rs 1,285 ($21) per ton.

However, in May, 40,100 tons came in from Iran at a range of Rs 1,228-Rs 1,246 ($20-$21) per ton while the balance 20,000 tons came in from the UAE at a price of Rs 1,297 ($21) per ton.
