Gypsum imports via Kandla drop sharply in July

August 18: Imports of gypsum through Kandla Port stood at only 5,000 tons during July 2014, sharply down from 35,000 tons imported reported in June 2014, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

During July 2014, the entire material came in from UAE at a price of Rs 1,290 ($21) per ton whereas in June 2014, 25,000 tons came in from Iran at a price of Rs 1,296 ($22) per ton while the balance 10,000 tons arrived from the UAE at Rs 1,285 ($21) per ton.
