Gypsum imports via Kandla sharply up in Nov m-o-m

December 23: Imports of gypsum through Kandla Port stood at 35,500 tons during November 2014, sharply up by about 2.26 times from 15,696 tons reported in October 2014, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
During the first eight months of 2014-15, total gypsum imports via the port stood at 316,979 tons whereas the figure stood at 106,118 tons during the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.

In November 2014, the entire material came from Iran at a price range of Rs 1,197-Rs 1,387 ($19-$22) per ton while in October 2014, the entire material came from Oman at Rs 1,303 ($21) per ton.
