Imports of gypsum through Kandla Port increased sharply to 36 327 tons in February 2016 against 15,000 tons in January 2016, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
In February 2015, imports of pet coke were nil through the port.
Imports of pet coke through the port during the first 11 months (April-February) of FY2015-16 stood at 213,826 tons against 339,133 tons recorded during the same period last year.

In February 2016, a volume of 10,000 tons came from Iran at a price range of Rs 941 –Rs 1,080 ($14-$16) per ton and the remaining 26,327 tons came from Oman at a price range of Rs 1,107-Rs 1,213 ($16-$18) per ton.
In January 2016, the entire consignment came from Oman at a unit price of Rs 1,222 ($18).
