Gypsum imports via Kolkata at mere 3 tons in Feb

March 7: Import volumes of gypsum via Kolkata Port were at a negligible 3 tons in February 2014 against 242 tons reported in January, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

In February, the consignment arrived from Malaysia at a unit price of Rs 8,560 ($136).

In January, however, 135 tons arrived from Iran at Rs 5,990 ($96) per ton, 28 tons from Turkey at a unit price of Rs 6,922 ($110), 73 tons from Thailand in a range of Rs 6,484 – Rs 17,831 ($104-$286) per ton and 6 tons from Malaysia at Rs 8,581 ($138) per ton.
