Gypsum imports via Kolkata drop 11.36% in Nov m-o-m

November 12: Import volumes of gypsum via Kolkata port drop 11.36% to 156 tons in November 2013 against 176 tons reported in October, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

In November, 135 tons arrived from Iran at a unit price of Rs 6,077 ($96) while the balance 21 tons came from Malaysia at a unit price of Rs 5,601 ($89).

In October 2013, however, 102 tons arrived from Iran at a unit price of Rs 8,666 ($139) per ton, 1.2 tons arrived from Malaysia at a unit price of ($174) and around 73 tons arrived from Thailand at a price range of Rs 6,886-Rs 18,692 ($110-$300) per ton.
